George William Fenlon
As a result of a serious assault in Blackpool, George Fenlon died on the 22nd Nov 2023 at the age of 23.Two weeks before George died his daughter Clara was born in the same hospital where he was receiving treatment. Although George was unable to communicate or speak Clara was able to spend quality time with her dad in his hospital bed and was able to lie next to him in his final days.The Fenlon Football Funday combines two of George’s favourite things, as a dedicated Manchester United fan and a casual football player, a fun loving and happy young man who lived to make people smile and have fun, this funday is the perfect way to pay tribute to him.
The Day
Join us on Saturday 19th July 2025 at PoolFoot Farm Fleetwood FC. Kick-off is at 11am. The tournament consists of 24 teams; male, female and mixed gender. The day is organied into 6 groups of 4 teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify plus the two best 3rd place teams. The tournament then moves to knockout format. It will be a full day of football with the final taking place at approximately 15:50.Schedules for all teams will be available soon, alongside the rules for the day.Alongside the football there will entertainment for children, and adults, come along for a day full of fun and football.

Each team will need a minimum of 7 players with a maximum squad size of 10 players.Registration is £55. All of the proceeds will go to Solace and Elliot's Place.Teams will need to provide a contact for the team, team name, and select a team ability level.Team logos can also be submitted to [email protected] should you have one.
